It is the year 0093.  Char Aznable, the Red Comet, is leading his Neo-Zeon forces to make humanity emigrate into space.  Amuro Ray must stop him.  This marks the final battle of Char and Amuro.

Review: Bandai pulled out all the stops for this one.  They animated the characters much better than they did in MSG.  It starts out well, but it gets crazy towards the end.  It's hard to tell who's on whose side any more.  And, as they say on the net, "When it ends, it ends."  Meaning they don't really resolve with one side winning over the other (I suppose it's something philosophical, like Char and Amuro are suppose to represent good and evil or something like that).  But they put in so much stuff that the true meaning is lost on us viewers.

Action Level: 5/5
An epic space battle, this is choc-full of action.

Romance Level: 2/5
Rather than accelerating the relationship of a current pairing, they throw in two new characters to be the love interest of the main characters.  Most fanfic authors do that.

Comedy Level: 1/5
I'm excusing the lack of comedy from this movie for a reason.  I like it too much.

Adult Level: 2/5
Semi-sex scenes.

Drama Level: 4/5
Concluding a decade-long feud in an epic battle is the purest form of drama.

Overall Level: 3/5
It was so intense that I almost had to turn it off.  But this is a perfect companion to the original MSG series.  Even though it ends rather abruptly.
