On the far-distant world of Cronos, a war is being raged to find the Hyribead, the source for infinite power for the machine people.  Rom Stohl, a human-like robot is fighting the evil machines of the Gandora Empire.  Joining Rom on his journey is his younger sister, Rena, and a team of transforming mecha.

Review: This is a must have for all old-school anime fans.  Journey back to the days of Thundercats, Voltron, G1 Transformers, and Robotech.  The plot is repetitive, the characterization one-dimensional and the effects on par with Thundercats, Voltron, and G1 Transformers.  But despite all this, I am definitely interested because old-school anime interests me.  Animes like these are really hard to find so better get to them quickly before they disappear.

Action Level: 4/5
The fights are definitely old-school, with clashing swords, bullet guns and unique kung-fu action moves.

Romance Level: 2/5
Can you say incest?  Yeah, I knew you could.

Comedy Level: 3/5
One of the robots, Drill (three guesses as to what he changes into) is kind of like Bumblebee in that he almost always gets into trouble and is the target of teasing by the others.

Adult Level: 1/5
Mild swearing, but at least the Japanese didn't water it down.  One adult thing that wasn't included on the actual movie was on the back of Volume 1.  It shows Rom and Rena, naked, locked in an embrace and staring out into sunset.

Drama Level: 3/5
They're trying really hard to be dramatic, but they're only succeeding minorly.

Overall Level: 3/5
Perfect for old-school anime fans, but don't expect anything innovative.  However it is a shame they never finished it.
