Rating: G (Lots of intense magical battles)
Anime Class: B

The Americanized theatrical version of the Cardcaptors TV show has Sakura and the gang going to China and discovering that an old enemy of Clow Reed is out for blood.

Review: To tell you the truth, I don't know much about the whole Cardcaptor thing except there was a huge argument a long time ago because Nelvana totally warped it.  What I do know is that this really didn't interest me.  They watered it down so that children under 13 wouldn't start asking the wrong type of questions.

Action Level: 3/5
Lots of magic used but not much else.

Romance Level: 0/5
If they did show any romance, I totally missed it.

Comedy Level: 3/5
The scene with Li's sisters was pretty funny and the facefault towards the end was amusing but I didn't see anything else that was funny.

Adult Level: 0/5
Maybe because they were trying to make this palpable for kids but that's just my opinion.

Drama Level: 3/5
The relationship between Clow and that villainess was the only well-done drama in the whole movie.

Overall Level: 3/5
If you have small children, then maybe you should get it.  But if you're a die-hard anime fan like me, it's not worth it.  Maybe the second one will be better.
