Distributor: Fox Kids, Saban Entertainment
Original Story: Toei Animation
Volumes: N/A
Rating: PG (don't let it fool you, it's just an overglorified version of TV series)
Anime Class: F

Based on the animated series of the same name, the plot of it falls into three parts.  The first part involves Tai and Kari discovering their first Digimon and shows why the kids became the Digidestined.  The second part is the Digidestined trying to stop a Digimon from destroying the Internet.  The third part involves the group from season 2 as they fight off an infected Digimon.

Review: Talk about crappy.  I come into the theater expecting to see all my favorite Digimon kicking butt but what I sit through is an overgrown brew-ha-ha.  The animation is terrible.  The DVD says it's from the animators of Dragonball-Z and Sailor Moon.  They probably should've stuck with Dragonball-Z and Sailor Moon.  Practically every other line was a lame pun or weak attempt at humor.  There was no characterization.  They didn't even use all of the Digidestined and Digimon characters, only a handfull of them.  Fox Kids totally warped and contrived the plot so much that I started to wonder if I was in the right movie.  I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd actually prefer the Pokemon movies over this.  The only redeeming virtue is that it was short, not even 90 minutes long.  Don't bother seeing this, it's just a waste of time.

Action Level: 2/5
The digivolving and battle sequences are pretty good but nothing new.

Romance Level: 1/5
I know they're only in Junior High but still, you'd think that after all they been through, Tai and Sora would've at least behave a little more mature towards each other.  No wonder all the fanfic authors paired her up with Matt.  Also, Davis' claim of Kari is reminiscent of Miss Piggy holding a virtual leash on Kermit the Frog.

Comedy Level: 4/5
This is only because there was so much of it.  Not a lot of it was good.  The best line of the whole movie?  Flamedramon's "How do you like your Kokomon?"  line.

Adult Level: 0/5
In other words, non-existent.

Drama Level: 1/5
There were some dramatic scenes, but not a lot of them.

Overall Level: 1/5
Even if you're a die-hard Digimon fan, you would think twice before buying this movie.  It was like Fox was piggy-backing the Pokemon movie craze.
