Chronologically speaking, Dead Zone should go to the front of the line.  It takes place before the arrival of Raditz and the revelation of what Goku really is.  Goku and Piccolo are still enemies, but they agree to join forces to defeat Garlic, Jr. (sweet name, huh?) and save Gohan.

Review: Unless you've seen the King Piccolo/Piccolo, Jr. storyline of Dragon Ball, you probably won't understand the characterization of Dead Zone.  It came out in the U.S. before that storyline was revealed.  Until then, the only understanding we get is at the beginning of the DB-Z TV series where everyone looks scared at the appearance of Piccolo.  It wasn't too bad for the first DB-Z movie.

Action Level: 4/5
A little less heavy than what we're normally used to.  Goku & Piccolo vs. Garlic, Jr is all right.  I think the Kami vs. Garlic, Jr. could've been extended a little more.

Romance Level: 0/5

Comedy Level: 3/5
Gohan's hallucination is pretty funny.  Also, there's a scene where Gohan takes a leak... on Krillin's head.  That was edited when Cartoon Network showed it.

Adult Level: 2/5
(See above leaking comment).

Drama Level: 1/5
This was mostly action.  The exposition by Kami could've gone better.

Overall: 3/5
Not bad for a start.
